Spring Recital 2027 & Studio News

We are thrilled to welcome you to our upcoming Spring Recital at the Starchevski School of Ballet “Chamber Theatre” (Suite 201, 200 Country Hills Landing NW, Calgary, AB).

The Chamber Theatre Advantage

Our private 60 to 65-seat Chamber Theatre offers families an exclusive, intimate front-row experience with custom classical backgrounds and a professional lighting system. By focusing entirely on classical ballet, each program group receives an extensive 30 to 45-minute stage spotlight—featuring our live technical demonstrations alongside classical performance pieces.

Production Schedule

Date: Saturday, June 5, 2027

• Showcase 1: Primary & Rising Ballet

Dancer Arrival Time: 10:30 AM | Performance Presentation: 11:00 AM – 12:15 PM

• Showcase 2: Youth Ballet, Intermediate, Teen & Adult

Dancer Arrival Time: 12:30 PM | Performance Presentation: 1:00 PM – 2:15 PM

Tickets & Seating: Entry is complimentary (covered via your family's seasonal $65.00 performance fee) and no physical tickets are required. Seating is general admission on a first-come, first-served basis. Theatre doors open exactly 15 minutes prior to showtime. Punctuality is essential, as late entries cannot be accommodated once the performance begins.

Costumes & Wardrobe

A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Hanna for her meticulous preparation and artisan hand-sewing of our school’s classical tutus and performance wardrobes since 1991!

Costume Pick-Up: Dancers will find their rental wardrobe pre-arranged and ready for them in Studio B upon arrival.
Costume Return: Following their performance, dancers are kindly requested to change and return all rental pieces to Studio B.

Volunteers Needed

We are seeking enthusiastic parent volunteers to ensure our production runs flawlessly. Please sign up at the front desk if you can assist as a:

Dressing Room Representative: Assist with organized student costume changes in Studio B and help gather the rental pieces post-show.
Theatre Ushers: Greet our dance families warmly at the door and help guide attendees into Studio A seating.
Post-Show Cleaning Crew: Help our staff efficiently re-arrange chairs and tidy up the space following the final showcase.
